An Incubator Farm is a place where people are given temporary, exclusive, and affordable access to small parcels of land and infrastructure, and training.
We need more Organic Farmers, but the access to Land, capital, and farm training are huge barriers to our next generation on farmers.
By providing opportunities for new farmers to access land, develop the skill set and experience essential to run a successful farm, and help developing a business plan, these farmers have a better chance of securing capital, accessing their own land, and ultimately being successful Farmers!
What support is offered? We offer access to land, infrastructure and tools for up to four years (with affordable fee structure) for beginning farmers, limited resource farmers and socially disadvantaged farmers.
Who's eligible?
Must have demonstrated farming experience, such as a background in family farming, homesteading, on-farm employment, internships, participation in Green Flamingo Internship programs, or similar training Must have a clear farm business concept and commitment to farming with respect for the land.
Green Flamingo aims to build a more diverse farming community by supporting farmers who often experience significant systemic barriers to starting their business. We encourage applicants of diverse backgrounds and traditionally under served communities to apply. We believe in the strength of Diversity as a tool to help all our systems to be the most Healthy!!

Take US1 South from NSB or Edgewater. Once you pass the blinking light look to your right for N Putnam Grove Rd. Turn Right onto N Putnam Grove Rd and continue for almost a mile. The road will turn to dirt and you will see orange groves. At the sharp Left curve on the road- look to your right. That is our gate. Turn right into the farm and continue straight down the farm road.
Our Farm is only open for Special Events and classes.
